Soft, but sheds

It is a very soft yarn. .. Although, there is a lot of shedding. I made a few items with this and was covered in it almost immediately. It does knit up very well.

Love the yarn, nothing bad about it.

Have used this for hats, scarves and a over-sized cocoon sweater. Feels great and have had no shedding.

Sheds

This is the worst yarn I have ever worked with. It sheds profusely. Now I have a sweater coat that sheds worse than a dog.

Love This!

This yarn in biscotti is such a great color with all the variations. It does shed some, but I didn't see anything nicer. I really like my finished shawl.

Yummy!!!

On my third CROCHET project using YB Effortless and I just LOVE IT!! YES IT SHEDS A BIT, but after machine wash and dry, that pretty well took care of the stray alpaca fibers. Luxuriously soft and easy to work with! Glad I found this lush fiber!❤

Pluses and minuses

I like: it's soft, cozy, has a glowing sheen & pleasant to work with. And the finished product looks wonderful. I dislike: It does shed and if you combine a light color (off-white) with a dark (red) and wash it together, the darker dyes run and stain.

Effortless super bulky (yarn bee)

The extreme shedding of the alpaca hairs made the otherwise pretty scarf impossible to wear, even after washing to try and block the shedding. It leaves hairs anywhere it touches and was a total disappointment for a yarn on the expensive side. I wasted $.
