Uhm confusing
I bought this as a first project of macrame. The first line of instructions says to cut the rope and then separate into 3 plies. Except the rope has 4 plies. So either it fame with the wrong rope or you’re supposed to just toss one out? No way to do 3 :(
Bad directions and wrong cord!
I agree with the other review this cord separates into 4 The kit smells musty like it sat in a damp basement! I weng online to a DIY macrame feathers and I’ll use the supplies out of this kit just don’t use the 4 the strand! I’m a beginner wish me luck
Very confusing instruction and incorrect supplies
You need to cut three 21 inch pieces. Then you cut the six inch pieces. The problem is that 21 inches isn’t long enough to fit the the 20 or 30 knots. The dowel isn’t long enough for three feathers. I purchased a longer dowel and more cord.
directions wrong
The kit had a very musty smell. so weird. the string wasnt enough to do the feather project. i was able to cut 3- 21" strings but i did not have enough to cut the other 6" strings. ran out of rope. the dowel is too small. dusappointed.
Good Starter Macrame Project
Like other reviewers, this does have an odd smell. It went away though after I aired it out. Instructions were easy to follow and I had leftover cord. Not sure why other reviewers didn’t have enough. 4 stars because it is kind of cheap looking.
Rip Off
The package is misleading, the materials are insufficient, and the instructions are bad. The photo shows three feathers, but there is only enough cord for one feather. I made one feather, but it was confusing, and I don't like it because I feel tricked.
Don't waste your money
The instructions are poorly written and the kit doesn't even come with enough chord to complete your project.
I emailed leisure arts to complain because it seems most everyone has been shorted material.
Misleading
I am an experienced macrame' artist. I bought this kit for my adult granddaughter. The instructions are very confusing, someone new to macrame' would have a hard time making this product. Only way to make three is to make them very small. Wast of money.

First macrame I've ever done..It came out beautiful, just like the picture on the package. Highly recommend this company..
1st timer
As someone who is wanting to learn a new skill, I found this kit to be very easy. The directions can be confusing if you allow them to be. For instance, 3 plies instead of 4. There was adequate enough cord that I did 4 feathers, by using a longer dowel.
