Snags

This hook snags on the yarn. I don't think it was made correctly and I really struggle using it on projects. I had to purchase a different product to get rid of the headache of using this one.

My favorite hook, so far.

These hooks have a deep groove and therefor holds the yarn very firmly. I am still a beginner at crocheting but I've used four different brands of hooks and these Susan Bates ones are my favorite so far because of the deep groove in the hook.

Perfect

Unlike tapered hooks these almost never drop the stitches.

Won't use any thing else!

Bates crochet hooks are so far superior to any other hooks. Crocheting with the Bates brand, Never a snag, the hook groove is deep and right in line with the barrel and so smooth! Hook never grabs unwanted yarn, only where intended, Love It!!

The best hooks

I am a relatively new crocheter. I tried a few other brands and hated them! I didn't understand why crocheting was so hard. Then I found the Susan Bates brand. These hooks are extremely smooth and rarely drop a thread and grab an unintended thread.

Crystal

I love Susan Bates hooks. These are the only hooks I like using. I like the flat tip of the hook. I crochet much faster with Susan Bates.

Amazing

I use these all the time for my Amigurumi and they always manage to get into tight stitches. They always get the yarn when I yarn over and never snag. They can make tight stitches as well. Susan Bates and Clover are the best brands for Amigurumi!

The best

I have been crocheting for over 30 years and have tried many different types of hook. The Susan Bate hooks are by far my favorite type of crochet hooks. I have added soft cushions onto the handles to make them more ergonomic for my hands.

Favorite hook shape

I have crocheted since I was 6, almost 40 years. I like the ability to insert hook precisely & hold yarn in deeper groove as Susan Bates hooks do. I can use other style but it feels like writing with a thick pencil to me. Glad there are options !

Color wearing off

I bought a 5.5. I love full colored hooks because I memorize the color/number of each hook. I used it maybe for an hour and the color has almost complete rubbed off. None of my old hooks have ever had this happen. Might have to switch off SB. ):
