Rit Color Remover Laundry Treatment is a chlorine bleach free powder that will not damage or deteriorate washable fabrics that you plan on altering. You will get true colors out of a blank canvas, as this product can be used to pretreat faded, discolored, or stained fabrics. It takes as little as two packages for a small load or as many as four packages for an extra large load to remove or reduce color from fabrics like cotton, linen, and wool prior to dyeing. With a simple application process, this color removing powder is sure to take your customized projects to the next level!

Never Again

I was trying to remove a yellow tint from curtains. It only lightened them slightly and the smell was awful, like perm solution or lye. It filled the house and I had to open all the doors. They still reek after 3 washings.

I have used this product for years. Depending on how much fabric and the density of the color I often use an extra pack and have always had excellent results. Yes the smell is bad but it does wash out in the 1st wash
