Do not buy!
The wick burns and falls off so quickly that the light from the wick is tiny. So tiny, in fact, that it do not heat up the wax fast enough for a proper seal.
Don't buy
The flame on the wax stick keeps going out. I have to constantly relighting it.
Don't buy
The wick on the sealing wax isn't doing its job. The flame on the wick keeps going out and you have to relight constantly.
Beautiful Colors
I use a sealing wax spoon, so do not rely on the wick, also prevents char on the wax. The colors are beautiful and take great detail for some of my more ornate seals. Only neg of this product is it is a very brittle wax and has a propensity to crack.
Impressed
I also use a melting spoon as it gives me more control over the quantity and consistency of the wax. I've used other brands of was that leave imperfections on the stamped image surprised and delighted when this wax left a good, clear impression.
Disappointing
The wick wouldn't stay lit and when it did, it charred the wax dripping on my envelope leaving black mixed throughout the beautiful color. Ruined several envelopes.
Not the best, not the worse
I was tickled pink when I saw the variety of wax seal kits. It was trial and error. I found what works best is to hold wick candle over the spoon placed over tea light. You emlinate the burnt wax and wasting products.
Yes, Buy It!
The Paper Studio wax's wicks can sometimes be difficult to keep lit, but using a fire starter (like what you'd use to light a grill) does wonders to melt it! (I did 250 wedding invitations with this wax, and was overall very pleased).
Love it
yes! you should have more old timing stuff!
Like them
If you cut the wax sticks into 1/4 inch pieces and add 4 pieces to the melting spoon is about the right amount for your stamp. I use this was for the letters I write with my Great Grand Fathers Stamp from Scotland. I'm very happy with these Wax Sticks.
