Horrible!
Do not buy these! They do not apply well and they do not erase at all! I even tried a magic eraser and it did not come off. Very frustrating! They are cheaper upfront but I've ruined over $30 worth of decorations that should be reusable.
Not great
They are such pretty colors but when you try to erase, it is so hard to get off and it takes along time. I would not recommend this item if you plan to erase the marker off your chalk board
Work great.
In response to the other reviews, if you read the directions, you should NOT USE them on porous surfaces, like chalkboards. They are meant to be used on glass, whiteboards, metal, etc. I use them on glass and it comes right off with damp towel.
Don't buy
I bought these hoping to save some money. It took me 2 hours to scrub it off of my $60 chalk board. These chalk markers are going in the trash! Don't waste your money.

It doesn't come off!!! Ruined all my pretty chalkboard stands and birthday decorations and I can't reuse them now :(
LOVE!
These are the best chalk markers for vinyl-like chalkboards. NO, they do not work on slate chalkboards. DUH. Slate is porous. Most of the chalkboards HL sells are that plastic-like texture, perfect for use with these. They wipe right off mine with damp cloth.
Do not work
That's pretty much all I can say - I tried both of them and they don't even show up on the chalkboard - I'll be returning them asap! I gave 1 start because it made me select one.
What I have learned about Chalk Markers
1: They go on as a clear liquid and as it dry the letters become visible. But it makes it difficult to see what you are writing . 2: WD-40 will remove them from a chalky surface.Wouldn't use WD-40 on real slate/chalk boar
Don't buy it
Spent 80 on a chalkboard.. the chalk markers are right next to it, so why not get them? Yeah, bad idea.. I did the "test," I used a little elbow grease but it came off.. week later, not one single piece came off.. tried wd 40, soap, vinegar, xpo eraser
Try nail polish remover
I actually like these. I use them when i want the writing to stay. However, i did use nail polish remover and its the only thing that removed it. Try it on your surfaces at your own risk. Hopefully you can salvage your chalkboards with this remedy.
