Each cylinder has a round, flat washer-like shape on the backside in order for the shelf to be hung. The top and sides of the wood have a distressed coat of shiny silver paint while the natural color of the wood shows underneath some areas. Looks great until you get it on the wall
The "iron" wall mount supports didn't lay flat on the wall, but rather bowed outward despite correct screw and anchor placement. The result was a far from level, and anything that would be placed on top would easily roll/skid off. Ended up taking it down.
Modern Floating Shelf
Bought these for a teenage boy's room. They were easy to hang and are very sturdy. The texture and finish of the shelves is dynamic. My son loves them and asked for a few more for his room.

Sagging shelf
Like the other comments this was sagging when we hung up with the wall anchors provided .. so upset

These are not good items to purchase, and they will not stayed up. Messed up wall with holes for nothing. You will need to buy another type of support for these.
Great shelves if you buy better support
The shelves themselves are beautiful, but the anchors & screws provided are absolutely useless. I hope people check this site before attempting to hang them to read all these reviews. BUY BETTER ANCHORS! You’ll save yourself ALOT of aggravation & time.
Wouldnt recommend
looks nice but does not hang well. Even with anchors they would not sit flush on the wall, causing them to slant and anything placed on the would slide off.
The reviews are true
It’s a nice looking shelf, but the anchors are worthless. We ended up having to go buy better ones.
Difficult to hang
Like all the other reviews, I love the shelves for how they look, but they were difficult to hang. Our shelves didn’t actually come with anything to hang them so we had to find a different way to hang them. Now that they’re up they look great!

Beautiful shelves that I got for Christmas. I'd been looking for some nice shelves for months. We go to hang them up & they do not sit against the wall and are worthless. I shouldn't have to purchase my own tools to hang if they're supposed to be supplied
