Mistake!!!
The Roman Number for the number 4 is IV, NOT IIII, as is on the clock!
Roman numerals
It was previously commented that this clock has a mistake - but that isn't so. Historically speaking, you can substitute IV for IIII and has been done so on very well known clocks around the world. http://mathtourist.blogspot.com/2010/08/iiii-versus-iv-o
Smells horrible
The clock itself looks nice but it smells so bad that it makes the entire room stink of rotten fish. Had another shipped to me and the same problem occurred with both. Very disappointing.
Love this clock
I love this clock. I put it in my entryway and it looks great. Great quality too.
Love the simplicity!
I have this clock on my kitchen wall over my counter top and lower cabinets. As far as the Roman Numeral 4 controversy (IIII vs IV) here is a great explanation I read: The Roman Numeral 8 on the opposite side is heavy so the IIII is symmetrical.
LOVE the clock…mechanism doesn't work
Purchased this clock for above a console table. The size is just right, not giant but still a significant piece. I brought it home and put a fresh battery in it and it worked for about 1 hour and then quit working. Hoping to fix with a new mechanism…
Beautiful Rustic Clock
The clock itself is beautiful, size is on point but the mechanism doesn't work properly:( Not sure if I should just return or keep and try to fix.
Cute style but poor function
It's beautiful but the clock doesn't work unfortunately. I tried exchanging it for another one and had the same issue :(
Beautiful but, the hand don't work
The mechanism doesn't work properly. The craftsman work is beautiful. To look on the brightside the clock is right twice a day.
Simple style - love it with H.L cabinet.
I bought the white and natural wood cabinet and put this clock over it. It is perfect & looks like they were made for each other. I have had this clock for several months and have nad no problems with it.
