Good for a clock but not as an alarm clock. If you set it for a time and have the hands in the exact place it will go off any were from 30 min before or after your set time.

I have always wanted an old fashioned alarm clock like this and this one was so affordable I just had to get it and it was absolutely perfect except it broke the same day I got it and with it my heart I'm going to try to fix it tmrw but definitely get it.
