Burlap is a versatile material that can be used to add a chic, homespun look to both autumn decorations and home decor. With an emphasis on rustic charm and cozy harvest elements, autumn is the perfect season for breaking out those burlap crafts. Create darling DIY wreaths and bows at home with this versatile material. Crafting a ribbon wreath is a great project for getting started with fall crafts while also creating a stylish piece of home decor. These wreaths are easy to put together once you have the right craft supplies and a little bit of knowledge. For a burlap wreath, we carry wired ribbon that can be easily shaped and primped. Find a wreath form in your desired size, then work the ribbon around the form until its covered. Shape the ribbon into wider loops to create a full-bodied wreath you can hang on the door, in the living room, even in the kitchen. After you’ve done it once, you can create large and small wreaths to spread throughout the house or a special event. Complement those wreaths with plenty of burlap bows. Bows are the perfect accents for adding seasonal charm. You can place them almost anywhere, including on wreaths, lanterns, and flameless candles. Break out a cutting mat, a pair of craft scissors, and pipe cleaners or twine to make the bows at home. Coordinate your burlap ribbon with other colors of ribbon for a layered look. If you’re preparing for a special gathering, combine your burlap bows with floral swags, then hang them from the backs of chairs, on tables, banisters, and across pews. Enjoy the wealth of creations you can design with burlap. Once fall is over, continue to use your burlap decor year-round!
