I really like the invisibility of this thread. It's hard to work with, though. It's not soft and flexible like cotton - stiff like polyester. Also, I cut it unintentionally. Suggestion: Thread the needle and cut over a dark background.
Melts when ironed
Very maddening. Used on 2 quilts to hand appliqué. After pieced together & gentle ironed, all the appliqué stitches melted in many spots. This is a cheap version of clear thread & I will never buy or use or recommend sewology brand again.
Magic
I used this to make a trip wire and it worked perfectly. Would recommend.
Difficult
I would look for another brand of invisible thread. I was unable to find where the end was to start using the thread. Once that was kind of accomplished, it was easier to use in my sewing machine than I thought. I had to rip out a few stitches--hard.
Like sewing with hair
Too fine for sewing machine use and breaks easily, I would only use this for things done by hand.
Awesome for material wrapped baskets
Used this to sew cloth wrapped clothesline to make baskets. It worked great for me. I liked that it has 400 yds compared to a couple of other brands that only provide 200+ yards for a higher cost.
Love Sewology products
I am using this in my sewing machine to make welting out of canvas for sailboat cushions. My machine handles it just fine. I don't know why others say it doesn't work well for a sewing machine. It works great! And it looks great! I recommend it.
