Plaid fabric
This is a typical fabric made in China and will not hold up. I ordered enough for a tree skirt and it was flimsy and not a tight weave. Returned it to the store and had great customer service.
Red Royal Stewart Plaid
Altho described as a "calico" fabric, the weight and weave is actually more like a "homespun". I have used it successfully for sewing and machine embroidery, however it does require a stabilizer, I used fusible mesh.
Homespun Tartan Plaid
This is 100% cotton “homespun,” a very beautiful imperfect rustic fabric. It has great texture/feel. Ideal for decorating: placemats, napkins, table runners, and is perfect for mason jars. Priced well. More homespun sold here too.
Not Royal Stewart
This is not the Royal Stewart tartan. It has a bright green running through it which is not in the Royal Stewart tartan. It is homespun of nice quality.
