Great kit for the more advanced builders, that know how to take their time with the details. Plan on extra paint time to get the front half to match the rear half (especially if using small testors metallic sprays). Greatly detailed undercarriage.
Great model
This model is awesome! It really is like yesteryear. The model lends itself well to customizing. Although for the overall price of the model it could do with better detail, also there is a lot of plastic slag that needs to be cut off before assembling.
Old tooling but Great kit
Expect some part preparation like flash, but that use to be an enjoyable step in model building; now days everyone wants it perfect straight out of the box. This is a "retro" kit, original tooling from the 70's! I am so glad it's back in production!
Nice kit for the money
I like this kit come with 4x4 or 2 wheel drive parts you can do this truck any way you like I got three of them now I’m working on gonna get get two more
4 kits and all warped badly
4 kits and all warped badly. this kit is nice, but man the warping is horrible
My Favorite Kit to Build.
While it may be my Favorite kit to build if you include the old Monster Truck and Tuff Truk tooling in I've built over 10 of these. There are fitment issues. It is an old kit and should be addressed as such. PATIENCE and it will build fairly nicely.
Instructions bad, Guess it will be a used farm P/U
The instructions are vague and very general. Some of the parts are shown just going somewhere here. The rear drive shaft did not reach the rear differential. The axles were not long enough to attach wheels. Front end is out of alignment.
Ford truck
I have owned many 73 to 79 ford trucks. And what a big disappointment in detail for one they tell you it's a 460 big block. Wrong the exhaust manifolds are fe style 360. The transmission for a 460 is flat across the top, this is not. I could go on and on
Great build
Did this truck twice. One in black one left white with red interior and blue Ford engine with chrome chassis. Love this hobby. Great past time.
Probably my favorite kit to build
I built this Super Stones release back in the 70's when it was a featured vehicle in Hot Rod Magazine. Also built the Star Truk, Boonie Boss and Tuff Truk releases. I really like this generation of Ford truck. Would LOVE to see the other 3 rereleased
