Fun project
Great to assemble. I changed the exterior to a drab green.
Poorly molded kit
Over all this kit turned out good but I enjoy being very detailed on my builds. This kit had many pieces that were molded poorly causing them to be defected when removed from the tree.
Not worth the time or money
Very cheaply done ,flemsy parts break when trying to remove from tree. More plastic on tree than some parts. The rims for the rear tires did not have a flange or flair to them so they just go through the tires,no way to keep tires on rims.
Wouldn’t recommend
This was the first model I’ve done and it didn’t turn out good the first time and on the second time it was the same the hood wouldn’t stay straight and all of it fell apart
Another old-timer that deserves a break
Old amt kits should probably be rated skill level 7 due to their age. This kit will build into an accurate and impressive display if you employ patience and skills. Because the subject is so popular amt will keep producing. Not a 1st kit for youngsters.
Not a fun build
This kit should just be retired or retooled. Uninspiring build, nothing fits well, kinda junky
Oldie but not a goody
The pieces don't fit well, lots of flash on parts and trees, and the hood won't close with the dual carbs on it. Interior is warped and just won't fit. The chassis sits below the bottom of the body. Stay away.
"paint glue and experience not included"
The rear of the interior tub is warped causing it to sit crooked. To fix this sand off plastic behind rear shelf shelf is under rear window and in front of the dash where they dont see it. then position the tub lining it up using inner and outer door.
Bought 3 at this price
~2 of them came out stellar~the 3rd one I am in the process of making a pro stock with a full blown 429 cu in~it is coming out great~looks like it could be a slot car racer if it had electric motor~
A challenge
This kit requires alot of skill to assemble. the parts have deformations and the body needed alot of filling and sanding and trimming. theres alot of tooling marks that need removed also. the front spindles neede modified to fit straight. not for beginner
