Good Build
This was my first build and it was very fun. Easy instructions and a nice end result. A very good but
Good but not great
The model was well done except one part, the tracks are very weak so be careful not to break them when streching them in place.
Awesome Patton M48A2 tank
Excellent kit! Lots of fun!
Molding Nightmare
If this is one of your first kits and you are not concerned with fitment etc. then this is a decent kit. I build and detail at an advanced level. I found the gaps and fitment of some of the pieces to be horrendous. Be prepared to fill and sand everything
Stay away from Monogram models!!
This is the first time I purchased a Monogram model, and it will be the last one! As one other reviewer posted, I can confirm that this model is a "molding nightmare"! There are parts that just don't fit together seamlessly. There are gaps.
Poor fit on some parts
You will need filler with this model, especially when joining the 2 piece hull. Not even close. Nice size good detail.
Sucks
When puting it together my finger went right threw the pastic and I was barley pressing
This is a true modelers model.
The kit when it was released in the mid seventies, it was the best there was. This is a model that was state of the art in its day. We didn't have all the imports l like today. I'm building this one again, love it, nice challenge!
Fun kit from the 1960's.
Remember when purchasing this kit that it was first released in the 60's. It is a nostalgia kit that can be fun to build with it's history in mind. If you're looking for state-of-the-art, this is not it, and the price reflects it.
Paint color
Typical kit. The issue here is finding the correct paint color in aerosol spray. The correct color is FS 30118 Field Drab. Testors makes half ounce bottles for brush but you can't find Testors aerosol spray in this color. VERY annoying and frustrating!!
