Mildewed and musty
When I first saw this on the shelves, I was really excited, so I bought it. When I got home and opened it, however…The SMELL! It smells like the interior of car that's been in a junkyard for 30 years. And it's covered in black mildew spots. Don't buy!
Not so bad
Got a roll at the local store and it's not all bad as that. It's a chrome tanned lower grade hide that has plenty of mark and blemishes covered with a "distressed" dye. With cleaner and conditioner made a nice laptop bag out of it with plenty leftover.
Nice piece
I found a roll of this when the store in a neighboring town opened. I fell in love with it, made a nice Bible cover and check book covers. I haven’t been able to find anymore but when I do I’ll get a couple more.

Is this leather Stiffer or is it floppy like the leather scrap packages?
Excellent leather
My favorite leather on the shelf at Hobby Lobby! Bought this from a local store, and used it to make a super cool bible cover, over top of the original cover.
It's a thick leather, very stiff, pretty red-brown color, with beautiful distress accents.
good when its consistent
Depends on the roll. its lightweight, like 3-4 oz, and has medium temper, but will get softer. unfortunately some rolls have a nice even look to them, other are splotchy and uneven, and make it hard to use for any larger projects.
Hobby Lobby leather
Soft, lightweight, dark chocolate,large square of nice leather with no holes or cuts, can’t wait to start a project with it!

Used this to make my first top hat works great and is comfortable on the skin not floppy like a scrap pack but not stiff like veg tan either it is just right!
