Quality as expected, incomplete set.
Never having leather-crafted before, I would say the quality seems good, and the instructions for decorating the small projects are clear. Sadly, the bottle of stain listed in the set is missing, and the jewellers rouge is crumbled.
A good place to start!
Pros: Good quality samples for practice! Nice instructions. Reasonable quality tools. Cons: You might want heaver mallet. The "Con" might not even be an issue for you. I used this to made Christmas gifts for family with the samples.
For my Scout
I bought this for birthday present for my son who is a Boy Scout. He really enjoyed this kit and has asked for other kits so he can pursue this hobby!
Great kit
Tools have heavy sturdy handle the impression are good. The swivel knife feels good but it is not adjustable. Overall I really like the kit for the money.
