Waste if money. It doesn't work. It isn't an actual candle. It's oily and messy and doesn't set up. You tube it. See for yourself.
Better than other reviewers say
If you are careful these work really well! Ours have been going for 2 hours and look really cute. The only change we made was sticking the wick all the way to the bottom of the jar, it wouldn’t stay otherwise but it works great!

It doesn’t work. Water does not absorb into sand. Complete waste of money.

Not sure how the wick is suppose to float upright in the oil? Doesn't work. Threw away.
Infuriating Garbage
This product does not match what appears on the box. The votives are much smaller than they appear. I could overlook that but the system just doesn't work. Illegible instructions. Sand is hydrophobic so the water doesn't "soak in" not enough oil supplied.
Trash
Hobby Lobby should really stop selling these Chinese crap products. Instructions are horrible. No way on earth the candles will work using the instructions AS WRITTEN. I have on extremely disappointed little boy.
Works, but NOT age appropriate
The box lists “8+” as the intended age for it. For safety reasons, the age should have been higher. We made 3 beautiful water candles successfully, however it was only possible after using YouTube vids and another reviewer’s input. Jars R too small.
