Fun First Two-Stage Rocket
Reliable two-stage flyer. I use the A8 engines to get high launches in smaller fields with the steamer recovery. Use B6 engines in larger fields for out of sight flights. I haven't dared to use C engines yet!
amazing rocket
Built this rocket in a day. When you launch with the C engine just aim the rocket towards the center of the field. You are going to lose site of it. Was very impressed with the performance. Also 0 wind is needed.
Great rocket
I really like this rocket. Fun to build and great to launch. Be careful, I put A0 engine for the first stage and a C63 for the second. Lost sight of and just lucky I caught sight of it on the way down. Using a streamer is a must!!!
Consider a parachute
Nice little kit. If you launch with a c engine you will lose sight of it for a moment. The streamer barley slows down decent. I lost a fin and body tube to fast decent. Consider a 6" parachute. I know after repair mine will have a chute!
Great rocket!
Launched it on C motors the first time. Second stage fell down and was very visible but lost sight of rocket very quick. Took 20 minutes to find it. Be careful loading wadding and streamer, mine didn’t deploy causing it to appear invisible coming down.
Needs a recovery system!!
My son put this together with ease and was excited to launch it this weekend. One problem, we could not locate the rocket after launch and we could not recover it. If this system came with a parachute recovery system, I would say this is worth it.
Vintage Estes rockets 1960 style
I built and flew the Estes rockets as an eleven year old boy . I and a few others always flew different rockets so we all had different ones to fly and got to enjoy three on flight day. Now I want my two grand sons involved with Estes rockets. Dave Buro
