Awesome
Awesome on a e12-6 it flys 3k feet
Insanely fun rocket, paint it bright
I lost mine on the second flight but OMG the thing flies straight as an arrow and goes over 1000 feet on an e12-6.The build is pretty simple and i completed it in under 2 hours.
Great spectacle
Make sure you launch on a windless, clear day. Flow instructions to the T make sure not to over pack the parachute and use wadding. Lost mines on the first launch.
Enjoyable rocket
Had a lot of fun building and launching this rocket. I’d recommend a smaller parachute and/or cutting a hole out in the top of the included chute. Even with a hole in the parachute and a D engine, it was a long wait (and walk) for the decent.
Beautiful rocket!
Great fun to build and fly! Delightfully similar to the classic Cherokee D, this flies higher my altimeter says 1700 feet. If you use a D engine, BE SURE to use the spacer. Also, cut a spill hole in the center of the parachute; fly with minimal wind.
Great bird!
It’s an unbelievably easy build. And an unbelievable value! I used a Estes 24mm screw on retainer and left the engine block out so I can use reloadables. Or put a tape ring thrust ring on an Estes motor to use them also.
High flying fun
Launches fast, straight, and very high! It wasn't a windy day, but it must have been at peak altitude because this rocket drifted well beyond our visibility never to be seen again. Lesson learned, cut holes in the chute to get it down quicker.
Engine fitting and fix
I had the Cherokee D as a kid and loved it! This kit's engine mount was a very loose fit though; it slid out a bit while drying. I would suggest some tape over the bottom to keep the engine mount in place while drying. A nice plus was the fin guide!
I don't recommend an E motor
This is a very simple build. Flies very straight and goes out of sight on a D12-5. Cut a hole in center of parachute the size of tennis ball. I used tape and attached two 4'long pieces of white flagging tape on chute for added visibility. Good luck!
Enthusiast
Best deal ANYWHERE. So good I bought two!
