The photo on the box sold me
The kits have real photos and not unrealistic promise photoshop pics. The glass all matched up well and the gel flux stayed put where I brushed it on. You do need to clean the char off afterwards, but a little soap and water did the trick beautifully.
Glass cut pieces are trash
Pieces don't match up, parts of pattern are upside-down and major grinding/shaping is needed on 95% of all Pieces. Not worth the money for all the time and work needed to make it usable
Stained glass turtles
I ordered two turtles and wanted to try a kit. I was disappointed to find all the glass pieces were cut and not shaped with the grinder. One piece was cut so small and opening all around it was 3-4 inch. It was broke but piece of glass was included a
Just A Few Things
The glass pieces could have been cut way better. They don't fix the pattern as well as they should. I ended up running out of copper tape. I had six pieces left to cover. Overall it was an easy and fun project.
I’d buy it again
As stated the pieces need grinding to fit well together. But the finished piece turned out pretty cute! I wish this review would let me post a picture of it.
Not worth your money
I tried this kit, the instructions are not very helpful the glass is not finished on a grinder to have smooth sides the copper tape is not black backed which sticks better. The glass was also chipped. The whole kit could have been better.
