Purchased black, not black!

The product goes on well and clean up is very easy with water, so you may need to varnish it afterward depending on handling. I really wanted a lustrous black but the black shimmer is gray; not even a charcoal, but more like a dark silver.

Didnt work for my needs

Wanted to touch-up hinges and door knobs so I bought this and several other gold rub-on and paint-on-marker products. Tried all of them out, and this one was LEAST effective but MOST expensive. May work for other type projects, but not for mine.

THIS IS WAX NOT PAINT

The other reviews are misleading. This product is a wax, NOT a paint. It’s NOT going to be a lusturous Black, gold, white, etc as that is not what it’s made for!!! If you are going to write a bad review, at least know what you bought in the first place!

Great product

I used burnished brash highlights on a dresser and on the hardware and it was easy and turned out perfectly

I Love This Stuff!

I bought this product to make a gold-leaf effect on paper clay, and it works beautifully. I just let it dry for a few hours after rubbing it on with a stencil brush, and then buffed it to a soft shine. It even works well on the soft Crayola Model Magic.

let me post a photo to show you

Used over crash glass mosaics as a veining topper over grout. Nice luster. Little goes a long way. Bet it will work as shoe polish, too!

Exceeded expectations

I work with polymer clay and wasn't sure what to expect from this product. It's like a PearlEx/mica powder paste that goes on smooth, provides perfect coverage, and can be used on cured clay or even baked on uncured clay.

Outstanding product!

Not the product it use to be.

It's been a few years since I've used this guilding paste. This product has changed its formula. It guilds, but it is no longer creamy/ solid and easy to work with. It's now a hockey puck and I'm having to scrape the wax with a spoon to use it? Blah
