I rely on the basic tools; pencil, pen, markers, acrylic ink and paint to form ideas into objects. They're not opaque. Best applied on top of a previous layer of a base color. Amazing on oil based silver from a leafing pen.

For every 8-12 color markers I'll pick up a black marker and a white marker one regular and 1 X-Large. VERY VERY IMPORTANT Requires extra shaking to make sure the glossy top coat gets thoroughly mixed in with the binder & pigments & base coat.
