the molder
Really hard to mold without cracking or breaking apart. Not good for body molding. Difficult to fuse with previous layers.
Is this a joke
There is a reason it's cheap, and that's because it's of horrendous quality. Hard to mold and nearly impossible to get rid of cracks before drying. I am by no means an expert at clay but I can tell you that clay should not be as hard to use is that brand.
Best Hobby Lobby has to offer
I've tried every type of modeling clay from Hobby Lobby, DAS is easily the best. Never had the first sign of cracking, as a matter of fact I've had to use DAS to repair other clay types when they do crack. I just wish it came in bigger sizes.
Awful
I would give it zero stars if I could. Poor excuse for clay, cracks can't be fixed and it doesn't stick to itself. It's hard to mold and impossible to smooth out. It drys too fast to use. it's basically dried crayola clay.
Love it
This is a fantastic clay. If you are having trouble with cracking, use water. It is air dry, water based. You cannot use this on a rigid base-it shrinks as it dries. Learn the basics of sculpting with air dry clay and you'll be fine.
It's good
I thought the clay worked fine, any cracking or drying out was fixed with water and some smoothing. Dries in a good amount of time depending on how thick the amount of clay you're using is. I enjoyed using it.
Didn't last
I made some butterflies and they fell apart.
Best yet
Of course you will have cracks from time to time, but with experience of this product you will begin to learn the perks of it. Cracks are easily fixed… sanding, reworking, and painting over it can be flawless. Awesome buy!
DAS Air Dry Clay Modelling Clay
The clay has a weird consistency when you buy it. It looks dry with a lot of small fibers. You can make it smooth/easy to work with by cutting it in small pieces place it in a container spray water on it, close the container and leave it for a few hours
Great!
This is my first time using clay and I have to say that this clay wad really easy to work with and it was great when I was smoothing it out!
