Clean cut fom cutter
Worked great. You need your own USB power & you need to make sure it is the correct voltage/power.
It cut through the foam like a hot knife in butter. It does smell & I suspect the smell isn't healthy so using a fan near a window to keep smell away.
Absolute garbage.
Don't waste your money. It doesn't get hot enough to cleanly cut foam. A bread knife works better.
Great heat
Heats super fast. Turning it off and on during projects is easy. Piercing material is fast, accurate. Works great.
Just ok, not great
This tool is mediocre at best, but it's the best thing I've found to cut foam core board. In the past, I've used scissors, utility knives and rotary blades, but this tool is fast, precise and gives a somewhat clean cut, good for non-linear lines.
Great hot foam cutter!
Worked great- even has on/off switch at collar! Used 5v/USB charger. It gets pretty hot. Best to use around open window w/ fan - you get plenty of toxic fumes when using on purple NGX 2" insul. foam - especially w/ small detail work for modeling.
