Delicas
I love the quality of Hobby Lobby Miyuki Delica beads. They are uniform and "fit" together nicely. I am currently making rings.
not again..
Like Czech glass beads, and seed beads the colors are coming off. This happens with metallic ones, specially gold. some of them are broken and inconsistent in size! I sent you a complaint about this but I just see the quality is still bad! No real miyuki.
REAL Miyuki beads are better!
Hobby Lobby has a VERY poor assortment of Miyuki beads. The beads offered are dyed, which results in the colors rubbing off or fading. Dyed beads usually run about $2.50 for 7.2 ounces, so you can see how overpriced HL is, even when on sale.
Great
The price is a little expensive, but if you use the 40% off coupon or wait for a sale, no problem. In a pinch, if I can't get to the bead store I frequent, Hobby Lobby's ALWAYS my go to for delica beads. The selection is growing and I'm appreciative of it
Love these beads!
I don't think any seller can market beads labeled with the Miyuki brand if there aren't legitimately made by Miyuki. That would be a copyright infringement. Miyuki does sell permanently finish galvanized metallic beads as well as painted beads.
Amazing
Delicas are always a great buy if you like extremely uniform beads with large holes. I'm glad hobby lobbystarted carrying them.
Breakage
For the price you pay, I could get them cheaper in a bead store or on Amazon , the quality is not that great. I find myself going back and having to replace a bead in the middle of my work due to cracking. I feel this weakens the piece.
Very uniform
Color, size and shape of the Miyuki Delicas are very uniform. Have not had any problems with beads breaking, but then I use a size 12 needles when making multiple thread passes. Price too high unless at 50% off.
Glad to have a local source
I usually buy Miyuki online but decided to do a comparison of those to HL Miyuki. I placed identical beads purchased from the two sources side by side on my tray and couldn't detect a difference at all. HL at 50% off are still more expensive though.
Quality is same
I buy several different colors of Miyuki Delica from HL. If you are just using the standard colors of blue white red bronze black they are not dyed And hold up very well in projects. Price is comparable because I buy them in person no shipping.
