Silicoil Brush Cleaning Tank, with its patented smooth aluminum coil, is used to clean and preserve fine paint brushes with any solvent or water. Stroking a brush across the smooth surface of the coil opens and separates the bristles for cleansing by fluid action with no risk of damage to their delicate split ends (a danger with wire screens). The spring-like coil provides a balance of tension and flexibility to aid in the cleaning with any medium, from oil to watercolor. Paint particles settle to the bottom, and the raised coil platform stays clean. Brushes will remain soft, shaped, and pliable indefinitely.

Works well for me
I paint small figures with acrylics. The coil does a great job of separating the bristles of the brush without mangling them.
I wish the lid was water tight; I cut a circle from a foam sheet and place it inside the lid to prevent leaks when closed.
Use it Daily, Would Recommend
The brush tank is easily one of my favorite painting supplies and one I use frequently. The brush coil is as advertised, nonstick, and easy to clean. After 2 weeks of daily usage, I can confidently say it has by itself extended the life of my brushes.
can not be cleaned
I would love this product if the coil could be removed from the jar so both could be properly cleaned. As it is, neither the coil or the jar can be cleaned . A residue remains in the jar bottom and on the coil . I can not use this product anymore.
The best thing I never knew I needed!
This product is great! Cleans my brushes so quickly and keep them looking perfect. I saw another comment about trouble cleaning, try turning the coil on its side to get the gunk out from the bottom. Worked great for me!
