Very unhappy with this paper.
Love the "Premium" watercolor paper from MastersTouch, unfortunately our store in Claremont, NH doesn't have a single pad, all they have is this. Masking fluid doesn't come off without ripping the paper, and paint doesn't "bloom" when painting wet on wet.
Not bad at all- better than strathmore
I don’t understand how someone can say that this paper is not good. The comment left by anonymous person does not make sense. The paper must be soaked for at least 30 mins and then mounted using gum tape, allow it to dry and then do the wet on wet.
Nice paper for the price
This paper is quite decent for the price. I'm an art teacher and use it with all ages. Paper holds up extremely well, even when students use too much water.
Not what I expected
This paper just doesn't hold up as well as thier "Premium" WC paper did.The second day I started to paint, the paper started to pill up. Plus liquid frisket pulls the paper apart. BUT… it's great for making your color palettes!
Gouache dries with a mottled appearance ?
I want to rate it a complete zero. Gouache does not dry mottled. I have professional grade Winsor and Newton and Holbein gouache which never behaves in this manner. The paper seems to suck moisture from the paint in an inconsistent and uneven manner.
Master's touch
Wondering where the master's touch premium watercolor paper is…haven't seen it since the onset of the covid pandemic. The regular master's touch cannot compare to the premium-- please, please, please bring the premium back!
Doesn't curl
I've tried various watercolor paper and am pleasantly surprised that this one didn't curl. I did tape it down before I painted and let it dry. But, once dry it was flat enough to fold in half without warped look. Would buy again.
Prints on Inkjet
This paper prints awesome on my EPSON 7720. With just the right amount of texture in the paper the prints come out looking like original art. Big bonus is the sturdy 140 LBS is perfect for hand crafted postcards. Good stuff!
Great
This paper works very well for my beginner watercolor students and the price makes it perfect for them.
