Terrible product
DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT
Does not hold up to ink washes at all, becomes blotchy and covered with small marks when attempting any kind of wash. Ruins texture. Would never recommend to anyone interested in art, whether they are beginner or amateur.
Nice for smooth finish using soft oil pastels
This paper is made for working with colored pencils, pen, marker & even oil pastels which I use. Always research what paper works best for your medium e.g. watercolor = watercolor paper, pencils/charcoal/pastels = drawing & Bristol Vellum, etc…
Great!
Outstanding in every sense of the word! Anonymous Is a tad bit delusional. LOL
Love art
It's outstanding product it more for wet nedyim
Nope not great
This is not paper for any wet media. It cannot take any wet washes at all. Becomes blotchy and ruined. Anonymous is not delusional.
Perfect for MARKERS
A lot of people say that this is bad for washes. I don't know why they say that, because that is not what it is meant for. I used mine for ink and alcohol markers.
Bleeds much too easily
This board bleeds too easily for crowquill pen use with India ink especially thinner ink and with newer brush pens/markers.
It has been frustrating and only one ink I have will not bleed Speedball Super Black. I wish you had kept carrying Strathmore!
Works as intended
You want to look for another paper for washes, bristols in general are not meant for that purpose; the one star reviews seem to have been written by people who didn't do any research at all. This works pretty well for illustrative art, inks, markers.
Great paper for illustrations
Great paper for it's intended purpose with the intended tools. Primally I use alcohol markers. Smooth blending and zero bleed through, it will show but not transfer through. Definitely comparable to the "good stuff" for a better price.
Works great for gouache
Seems like the people complaining about this paper are water colorist doing "wet on wet" this is not the paper for that. However, as far as wet media goes, it works fine for casein, acrylic and gouache and doesn't buckle.
