Oil painting

I use these canvases for oil painting because the surface is smooth - not a big fan of super rough surfaces - this canvas make laying down the first layer pleasant and effortless - also is great for drippy painting in oils!

Anxious to Try

I saw this canvas reviewed and demoed online by artist Steve Mitchell recently. He was very pleased with the results and highly recommended the product. I'm anxious to try it for myself.

Unique surface for watercolor painting

This surface will NOT give you the same results as paper, but it is an interesting way to paint. Because it is a sealed canvas, the paint does not absorb into the canvas the way it will in paper. Paint lifts easily off of this surface. Fixative suggested.

Hate it

I tried to use this to paint something my mom wanted me to paint and IT LOOKS LIKE I USED CRAYOLA MARKERS

Great!!!

Only canvas I use. Great for Watercolors. I also use Watercolor Pencils and paint with Coffee on them. Works well also when using inks, water wash graphite. Love working in a smooth surface like these.

Terrible! My piece is ruined!

You can't acrylic coat a board and call it watercolor board!! Watercolor will not soak into something primed with acrylic. I should have read before I used these. It caused my micron pens to run and bleed into the water and they're waterproof pens!

Favorite Watercolor Vehicle

First used wet media canvases in college preparing for my exit show. It takes experimentation to get acquainted, but it’s worth your time! These have great texture & durability with which to work. Look up artalaheather on instagram to see my art.

Love it

It is different than paper so takes some practice although I was very happy with it from my first piece. Very interesting effects.

works ok

I mainly use transparent watercolor. This Canvas has a number of advantages and disadvantages over paper. I kind of like it, but for me the disadvantages out weigh its advantages. Thus 3 stars For gouache it might be superior to paper.
