User error
After royally messing up on the first kit I realized it wasn’t the kits fault rather it’s user error. Found out you’re supposed to further split the strands into their own single strands and then everything goes smoothly and the needle doesn’t break.
Great first project
This was my very first embroidery project. Simple, easy to follow directions with basic stitches to build foundational knowledge. Came together quickly. Now I'm inspired to learn more advanced embroidery stitches. Some great tutorials on YouTube.
Needle doesn’t go through the fabric
This was my very first kit. I have to use pliers to get the needle through everytime. It also doesn’t explain the thread. Like what does 6 mean? Do I use 6 of the same thread? Do I separate the single thread. Also the colors don’t match. Confusing. I’m 32
Experienced embroiderer
-poor quality fabric -cannot iron so you have lines from the fabric being folded or ink smudging from attempted ironing -needle broke on first poke. -meh directions
Sincerely, an experienced embroiderer.
Didn't Love
The needle it came with didn't fit the 6 strands the majority of the pattern required. also the print, it fills up the entire hoop. there's not that border like the picture has. the leaves go to the edge of the hoop.
Not great
The needle is super hard to pull through the fabric and I also could barely even thread 4 strands of floss through the tiny eye. Not sure how I’m going to finish the stitches that require 6 strands without using a different needle. Save your money.
Didn’t include everything
in addition to the spacing of items being different than the picture, the needle broke, I ran out of both “greens”, and the stitch type instructions were inadequate. While I enjoyed the pattern, other kits have been better.
Fun Kit
I used my own needle for this- I was able to use 6 strands of thread because the eye of my needle was bigger. There were times it was difficult to pull the needle through, though the French knots were the hardest. I needed pliers for those.
