This tape dispenser is not easy to refill the tape. Having big trouble removing the old tape spool to replace with new one.

I found that if you just give a little pull on the side, the core comes out quite easily. I love the small size of the tape dispenser. Nice that it is refillable. Good price compared to other brand.
