Dri-Splendor
I bought this for my daughters wedding bouquet. Followed the directions & it ruined her bouquet.
Needless to say I am beyond upset.
DONT BUY THIS, Pay a professional (if you can find one) to preserve the flowers from a once in a lifetime event.
Cheaper here
Dried them in about a week -depend. On flower type- just takes time to heat in oven to re-use, but cheaper than $10 at walmart:)
Microwave drying
Used microwave drying method with great success. Dry flowers for 2.5 min. add 1-2 min increments if needed. Cannot revive gel after microwave use. was able to dry a good amount of flowers. Roses turned out the best. Definitely recommend. 5lbs 40% coupon!
Not Impressed
I bought this product to preserve the roses from my wedding bouquet. Unfortunately, the product did not do what I was hoping it would. The flowers came out dry and brittle and just look like dried flowers instead of preserved. Very disappointed.
…Continued
All roses will turn out "aged." White roses will be a yellowish color due to aging. If you expect white roses after drying, you will be disappointed. They will have an antiqued look which is beautiful. Cut the stem short. Layer flowers in a clear vase.
dri splender
Could not get blue crystals back into silica when placed in oven at 250 for an hour…
to achieve Max dry for reuse.
Not the results I expected
Can be used in microwave, but the silica beads dimple petals and easily burns the flower. The flowers end up looking exactly as if you had hung them upside down to dry. Not worth the cost even with 40% off coupon. I wish HL would allow photos w/ reviews.
Excellent quality silica gel
I have seen quite a few reviews giving low stars because of poorly executing a project, no because of the quality of the item. The silica gel is excellent quality at a great price. I plan on buying a few more 5 lb bags.
Great for electronics
I have had my iPhone and iPod both go swimming and this had been able to revive them both! It isn’t a quick fix, so be patient! I have had to revive the beads by baking them (follow the instructions on the bag) to de-hydrate them a couple of times.
Great product if you know what you're doing!
Seeing a lot of bad reviews from people trying this for the first time on a wedding bouqet. DONT DO THAT. Like anything, it takes patience and practice to learn. get a few roses or flowers to practice on well before a wedding.
