Would not make a mark
These wouldn't make a mark on black cloth or black paper. Broke the tip trying to get them to work.
Dont Work
I tried both on several different fabrics but could barely see any of the marks. Would not recommend at all!
Works great on ripstop nylon
After trying numerous other brands that would break when sharpening, these have been the best of the bunch.
Marking Pencils
These marking pencils work great for me and I use them daily while making masks. I do have another item that I use for different lighter-color fabrics but this is my 'go-to' for marking my fabrics. I'm back for a few more to put in my cart for next time.
I would not recommend
The only way I could see the marks was to press down really hard. Even then the white was very faint. Luckily I was trying to mark sturdy fabric. It would probably tear a lighter weight fabric.
Pretty much useless
50 years ago when I was learning to sew a white pencil or chalk was the only thing we had for marking so I bought a couple thinking they would do the same. No matter how hard I pressed I could not get them to make a visible mark. So I don’t recommend.
Works Great in our professional setting
Our professional sewing team says these are the best pencils we've tried since Nonce discontinued theirs. Remember to wet the tip before using, otherwise they won't make a mark. Re-wet the area to remove markings. They're fragile so don't drop them.
Don't buy
Absolute garbage. Doesn't make any marks, and if you press down too hard you start scruffing up the fabric.
