Red Ticking
I used this fabric to make a ruffled bedskirt. Loved the weight and quality. Now I'm ordering more to make the top to a duvet cover, lining it with a sheet on the underside. Highly recommend.
Not the same..
I've been purchasing this ticking by the bolt for years. The last 3 bolts I recieved from online was from a different manufacturer. Visiting a local store this week they now carry the same. The new mfg is a much lighter weight & cheap quality.
Ticking fabric
I thought the ticking fabric I had used before was discontinued. Actually, the name was changed from James Thompson to Roc-lon. So happy to have found this in my local store and didn't have to order out of state to complete my project! :)
Not the same..poor quality
I've been using this ticking for numerous years. The last several bolts I received were not the same quality. After contacting James Thompson, they said they discontinued mfg. The Roc-Lon brand is much lighter weight and has a slight stretchiness to it.
The only REAL ticking made now?
After searching all over, both brick and mortar stores and online, for real rwill weave ticking - not printed duck or calico- I found this at HL and am very pleased with it. Another review said something about stretch but my fabric is very stable.
Love this!
I covered my bar stools with this and I absolutely love the way it turned out. I also used this for making Christmas ornaments!
No longer durable heavyweight ticking
I'm so disappointed as recently my Hobby Lobby stores switched from the excellent Roc-Ion heavy duty ticking (which washed up beautifully) to a much lighter weight, stretchy Indian cotton which is not only thin but also pills after the very first wash.
