Amazing product for the price
Works great on small projects if you have a large piece you’ll need a few of these
Doesn't work
This stuff doesn't work. I've tried multiple ways with thick or thin layer, but barely even produces an effect. To the garbage bin it goes.
Finish is browned
This product just cost me big! I covered oak pieces with acrylic paint by "The Fine Touch" let it dry, then covered it with this stuff. It dried to a dirty brown opaque haze. Now I have to sand, repaint, recoat and hope to get done by Mother's day.
Ruined picture frame
I have done three projects trying to master the process with no success. This last one ruined a very nice picture frame. I won’t be buying Deco Art One Step Crackle, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
A waste of money
This product is terrible. I tried 3 different ways with 3 different types of paint with thick then thin application. It did not work. I’m happy that I only purchased the small bottle.
On and Off.
I've tried using this with the craft paints and it seems to work with some but not with others. This particular one seems to work, it may just be the brand/color of paint you're using. Try applying it in several layers/coats of both and build it up.
One step cracker
Doesn’t work I’m not happy & going to return
One step crackle
This worked great for meThe crackle is not like what people are used to seeing with others that need to be sandwiched between paint. It goes over the final paint Cracks appear barely but then you go over it with watered down paint/glaze the magic happens
Perfect if used correctly
Your art needs to be 100% DRY, don't OVER BRUSH - at the most you can go back over a spot 1 to 3 LIGHT passes - more than that and it will not crack, and do it flat - not on vertical.
Wish i read the reviews
This stuff is absolute garbage. Follow directions to a T and there is no crackling at all. What a waste of money.
